Funky Buddha is proud to announce The Single Barrel Series, a highly limited line of beers that have been aged in choice barrels for over five years. A bit about the series:

A single barrel sparks an idea of endless possibilities. As the gears turn through time, these beers are transformed thanks to years of aging in oak casks that lend newfound complexity and luxurious nuances.

Funky Buddha’s barrel-aging program consists of over five hundred oak casks of all types. Some have been with us for over five years. These barrels have been hand selected for the series. Each beer is examined on how it has matured over time. Once ready, it’s undisturbed and finished with a still presentation for an experience that is reminiscent of a fine spirit. These beers will be available in an opaque, matte-finished bottle with a cork enclosure.

The first Single Barrel Series release will be a Port Wine Barrel-Aged Nikolai Vorlauf Imperial Stout. Aging since July of 2018, this rich and decadent imperial stout has developed notes of dark chocolate, ripe cherry, and charred oak. 750ml bottles will be available exclusively at the Funky Buddha Taproom on December 22nd. There will only be 80 bottles created for this release.
