JOB DESCRIPTION
A shift brewer is responsible for all aspects of the brewing process including brewing, fermentation, cellaring, and finishing. This employee must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public. Natural leadership, integrity, loyalty, and a good sense of humor are all factors in who we hire. Brewer tasks involve physical, mechanical, innovative, and problem-solving work so these skills are highly preferred.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operating brewhouse and producing batches from start to finish
- Following recipes and brewing process to achieve desired and consistent targets throughout batches
- Yeast handling and management
- Cellaring duties including fermentation management
- CIP (clean-in-place) of brewing and fermentation tanks, and other equipment
- Logging of all brewing related notes from brew day through fermentation, finishing, and packaging
- Following SOP (standard operating procedure) in each phase of brewing, fermentation, and packaging
- Maintaining clean brewing practices in the brewhouse and cellar
- Executing preventative maintenance on all brewhouse and cellar equipment
- Monitoring raw material inventory
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION
Four-year college degree in natural sciences (e.g., microbiology, biochemistry, food science, engineering, etc.) preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years-experience in a commercial production industry, brewery or high-volume brew pub required.
An understanding of quality assurance (QA) methods and techniques, laboratory operations, and basic knowledge of chemistry and biology preferred.
Prior packaging, bottling, and racking experience preferred.
Mechanical experience and aptitude preferred.
Forklift operation or certification preferred.

Packaging Manager
Packaging Manager is responsible for managing and participating in all aspects of packaging processes, as well as with administrative and organizational duties for this department. This employee must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting up, operating, and maintaining canning lines and other filling/bottling equipment. A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures are essential for this role. Process flow optimization, team management and planning are necessary skills. The candidate must be someone who leads by example in following procedure and policy, is proactive, and helps to maintain the highest standards of employee performance in the packaging department. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public. Responsibilities
- Management and leadership of packaging team
- Successful operation of all equipment used for packaging at Funky Buddha to meet production forecasts and demand
- Foster a collaborative environment while setting clear priorities and managing time effectively in response to company demands
- Configure and calibrate machinery to ensure efficient and accurate operation, minimizing loss
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Preserve and enhance Funky Buddha’s quality standards, including seem checks, carbonation, dissolved oxygen, fill heights, etc.
- Overseen and assist with Clean-in-Place (CIP) on all filling equipment using automated and manual systems
- Manage and prioritize projects, preventative maintenance, and daily equipment upkeep
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and company guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, maintenance activities, and repairs
- Prepare reports on team and equipment performance, downtime, and any issues encountered during production
- Work with supporting functions such as Safety, Quality, Maintenance, and Brewing to resolve production-related issues
- Identify and implement cost-improvement opportunities through material suppliers, manufacturing, and packaging partners
- Oversee, supervise and/or perform training for new Packaging Associates
- Forklift operation
- Ordering packaging materials and monitoring, recording and maintaining packaging materials inventory
- Must always be a champion for following the rules and policies of the brewery, and must encourage this to others, both by example and vigilance

Qualifications
- Previous leadership role in high-speed manufacturing business, directly responsible for packaging line performance to include production, quality and safety
- Strong people management skills and leadership experience with a proven track record of helping elevate a team
- Technical knowledge and understanding of high-speed packaging equipment with strong mechanical aptitude; understanding of plumbing, electrical and other relevant trade skills
- Flexibility with schedule as demand may from time-to-time dictate additional or different hours
- The ability to work independently as well as with others, with proven experience in delivery against critical KPIs
- Understanding of ERP systems, ability to process data in them
- Solid financial aptitude and experience managing a budget.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Power Point

Responsibilities
• Successfully operate all equipment used for packaging beer at FBB
• Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all operations

• Perform CIP on all filling equipment using automated and manual systems
• Perform or assist with preventative maintenance (PM) on all packaging equipment according to PM schedule
• Troubleshoot and assist with the repair of all equipment related to packaging operations

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Packaging Operator I is responsible for executing all production activity in the packaging area including operation of an automated keg washer/filler, operation of automated equipment related to bottle filling, necessary preparations for bottling, work-in-process product testing, CIP of all related equipment, and cleaning and housekeeping of all areas of the facility. The Packaging Associate must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry.

- Operating automated keg cleaning and filling equipment

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all facility and equipment upkeep and repair. Candidates should:
- Possess great mechanical aptitude and work well hands-on
- Have knowledge and 3 years experience with plumbing, HVAC, glycol refrigeration, electrical, draft systems, heavy equipment operation
- Be able to use, fluently read and understand the function of measurement devices, including, but not limited to, tape measures, laser distance meters, measuring wheels, calipers (digital and analog), pressure gauges (metric and English), temperature gauges (Fahrenheit and Celsius), multimeters, balances (scales)
- Be familiar with basic hand tools and their uses
- Possess the ability to read and comprehend basic machine manuals and diagrams.
- Be able to learn how to systematically troubleshoot equipment
- Be able to follow through maintenance and repair assignments to completion
- Be able to clearly report on all tasks using email
- Be ready to assist in any operations around the facility as needed, including performing custodial duties and assisting in other departments
- Must be available to work on Saturdays every week
- Have good organization and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and/or nights, weekends and holidays
- Live in or be willing to relocate to South Florida

The Server works in the bar and guest areas of our tap room. Servers ensure that customers have an enjoyable experience by providing quality customer service. Servers work in the front of the business taking orders, mixing drinks, serving drinks, collecting payment and removing glassware from the table in a timely manner.

Position Summary
The Field Market Manager is responsible for driving Funky Buddha brand sales performance by assisting sales with retail execution, operations, key relationships, and other KPIs in an assigned geographic area. The incumbent will report directly to management at Funky Buddha Brewery, closely partnering with the Assistant Sales Director in their assigned sales territory. This partnership structure will best enable this position to manage priorities and execute the Brand-led business plan for a high priority territory.
Duties and Responsibilities
Account Management:
- Identify new and expanded distribution opportunity at on- and off-premise accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the owners & managers of the top accounts within area of responsibility.
- Support training and development initiatives for wholesaler teams and with key accounts.
- Prioritize existing accounts and deploy resources (materials, budgets) to achieve set Funky Buddha’s market goals.
- Identify market specific business development opportunities.
- Complete daily account visit reports, monthly expense reports and other surveys and reports as required.
- Secure feature & display support for Funky Buddha brands and improved shelf space position in retail accounts.
Execution Inspections:
- Visit and review accounts for compliance with Funky Buddha’s retail execution standards.
- Identify and communicate execution issues to Senior Market Development Managers and/or Key and National Account Managers; ensure follow-up is made and issue is resolved.
Sales Planning:
- Serve as a high-level advisor to the area Senior Market Development Manager in all Funky Buddha related planning.
- Assist Senior Market Development Managers to develop the Funky Buddha Brand component of his/her annual business plan including, sales, distribution, and promotional efforts for that specific market.
- Evaluate results vs. plan on a regular basis, identify sales deficiency areas, and develop corrective programming to improve performance.
- Conduct surveys in conjunction with key Funky Buddha promotional windows.
Supply Chain:
- Ensure Wholesalers maintain adequate product inventory levels and demonstrate proper inventory rotation.
- Work with Wholesalers to prioritize supply chain issues related to code date/aging inventory problems and make recommendations to management on the most appropriate course of action.
Marketing & Promotions
- Organize and coordinate promotional activity in area of responsibility.
- Utilize available marketing resources in order to maximize sales and achieve plan.
- Participate in evening and weekend promotions and assist with brewery special events.
New Products/Packaging
- Develop and execute new product/packaging rollout plans for his/her area of responsibility.
- Work with sales team to build plans that identify target package/brand opportunities, target account list, and resource allocation needed to achieve set goals.
- Proactively identify challenges that new product introductions face in area of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications
- Two years professional experience and/or familiarity with consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or beverage industries is preferred.

- Proven track record in building good relationships with customers, as well as with internal associates.
