Floridian Spent Grain Sourdough Bread Launches at Whole Foods Market Locations on October 21

We are proud to announce our partnership with Whole Foods Market on Floridian Spent Grain Sourdough Bread. This rustic, sourdough hearth bread will be sold at all Whole Foods Market locations throughout Florida starting on October 21, right alongside six-packs of our award-winning Floridian Hefeweizen.

Why did we partner with Whole Foods Market on this new product? Bread and beer share a historic lineage, from the grains grown in the field to the yeast that enables the magical process of fermentation. Each loaf incorporates actual grain used to brew Funky Buddha’s best-selling Floridian Hefeweizen. The grains are captured fresh from each batch made in Oakland Park, Florida and brought mere miles to the Whole Foods Market Bakehouse in Pompano Beach. There they are incorporated into a sourdough recipe that yields beautifully fluffy, textured bread with a slight tinge of acidity, making it a perfect pairing for a cold glass of Floridian.

From glass to grain. Baked fresh – and brewed fresh – right here in the Sunshine State. Cheers!
