JOB DESCRIPTION
A shift brewer is responsible for all aspects of the brewing process including brewing, fermentation, cellaring, and finishing. This employee must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public. Natural leadership, integrity, loyalty, and a good sense of humor are all factors in who we hire. Brewer tasks involve physical, mechanical, innovative, and problem-solving work so these skills are highly preferred.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operating brewhouse and producing batches from start to finish
- Following recipes and brewing process to achieve desired and consistent targets throughout batches
- Yeast handling and management
- Cellaring duties including fermentation management
- CIP (clean-in-place) of brewing and fermentation tanks, and other equipment
- Logging of all brewing related notes from brew day through fermentation, finishing, and packaging
- Following SOP (standard operating procedure) in each phase of brewing, fermentation, and packaging
- Maintaining clean brewing practices in the brewhouse and cellar
- Executing preventative maintenance on all brewhouse and cellar equipment
- Monitoring raw material inventory
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities

EDUCATION
Four-year college degree in natural sciences (e.g., microbiology, biochemistry, food science, engineering, etc.) preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years-experience in a commercial production industry, brewery or high-volume brew pub required.
An understanding of quality assurance (QA) methods and techniques, laboratory operations, and basic knowledge of chemistry and biology preferred.
Prior packaging, bottling, and racking experience preferred.
Mechanical experience and aptitude preferred.
Forklift operation or certification preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Packaging Operator I is responsible for executing all production activity in the packaging area including operation of an automated keg washer/filler, operation of automated equipment related to bottle filling, necessary preparations for bottling, work-in-process product testing, CIP of all related equipment, and cleaning and housekeeping of all areas of the facility. The Packaging Associate must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry.

- Packaging of beer, including bottling, canning and kegging
- Operating automated keg cleaning and filling equipment

Packaging Lead
A Packaging Lead is responsible for leading and participating in all aspects of packaging processes, as well as with administrative and organizational duties for this department. This employee must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The candidate must be someone who leads by example in following procedure and policy, is proactive, and helps to maintain the highest standards of employee performance in the packaging department. The candidate needs to be ready to be flexible in their schedule and be available to work long hours if needed to get projects done and meet production schedules. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public. Natural leadership, integrity, loyalty, and a good sense of humor are all factors in who we hire.
Responsibilities
• Successfully operate all equipment used for packaging beer at FBB
• Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all operations
• Preserve the Funky Buddha quality standards
• Perform CIP on all filling equipment using automated and manual systems
• Perform or assist with preventative maintenance (PM) on all packaging equipment according to PM schedule
• Troubleshoot and assist with the repair of all equipment related to packaging operations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and company guidelines
• Ability to follow-instructions and meet business needs based on daily goal changes when necessary
• Must be able to complete most tasks with minimal supervision
• Be able to assist management in ensuring all team breaks and lunches are taken within established company guidelines
• Communicate to management updates and changes as appropriate
• Log and send daily production reports
• Perform or supervise all training for new Packaging Associates
• Assist in the development of SOPs
• Work to improve processes based around efficiency and minimal product loss

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience on a beverage packaging line
• 2+ years’ experience with fillers and conveyance systems

Position Summary
The Field Market Manager is responsible for driving Funky Buddha brand sales performance by assisting sales with retail execution, operations, key relationships, and other KPIs in an assigned geographic area. The incumbent will report directly to management at Funky Buddha Brewery, closely partnering with the Assistant Sales Director in their assigned sales territory. This partnership structure will best enable this position to manage priorities and execute the Brand-led business plan for a high priority territory.
Duties and Responsibilities
Account Management:
- Identify new and expanded distribution opportunity at on- and off-premise accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the owners & managers of the top accounts within area of responsibility.
- Support training and development initiatives for wholesaler teams and with key accounts.
- Prioritize existing accounts and deploy resources (materials, budgets) to achieve set Funky Buddha’s market goals.
- Identify market specific business development opportunities.
- Complete daily account visit reports, monthly expense reports and other surveys and reports as required.
- Secure feature & display support for Funky Buddha brands and improved shelf space position in retail accounts.
Execution Inspections:
- Visit and review accounts for compliance with Funky Buddha’s retail execution standards.
- Identify and communicate execution issues to Senior Market Development Managers and/or Key and National Account Managers; ensure follow-up is made and issue is resolved.
Sales Planning:
- Serve as a high-level advisor to the area Senior Market Development Manager in all Funky Buddha related planning.

Marketing & Promotions
- Organize and coordinate promotional activity in area of responsibility.

New Products/Packaging
- Develop and execute new product/packaging rollout plans for his/her area of responsibility.

Properly clean and set meeting rooms and banquet functions per specifications on resume and BEOs or as given by banquet management including vacuuming floors and cleaning walls and windows/mirrors. Proper care, movement, storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs, risers, dance floor lecterns is required. Proper control and storage of meeting room supplies such as linen, pads, pens/pencils and candy, etc. are required. Service every meeting room by emptying trash, removing dirty plates, cups, linens and glasses, and replace as necessary. Straighten all chairs. Replenish water requirements as specified or requested. On a continuous basis, keep service corridors, pre-function space, and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed. - Provide audio-visual services such as setting up equipment and instructing guests on the appropriate use
- Ensure that food services are properly managed by testing dishes to ensure that they conform to taste and quality standards
- Set supplies such as pens, pads, and information packs on each table, in accordance with instructions provided by the client
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the banquet areas during and after each event
- Greet guests as they arrive at the event and assist them in finding appropriate seats • Replenish beverages and food items as necessary and respond to any special requests from guests
- Learn the aspects of setting up/breaking down Audio/Visual equipment for events

The Banquet Server performs food and drink serving duties at dinners and special events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly and efficient manner. Banquet Servers also assist with set-up and break down of event requirements.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set up banquet room as requested by the BEO to include glassware, service ware, linen, buffets
- Attend pre-shift meetings in order to learn function particulars, including guest expectations
- Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner
- Serve the beverage and food in the appropriate order and in tune with the expectation of the BEO so as to ensure consistency throughout the banquet
- Quickly remove dishes as guests finish each meal at the end of each meal or function
- Abide by all corporate act, laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Replenish beverages when necessary, and check with guests to make sure they are satisfied
- After the banquet, reset banquet room in accordance with the specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for other functions
