JOB DESCRIPTION
A shift brewer is responsible for all aspects of the brewing process including brewing, fermentation, cellaring, and finishing. This employee must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public. Natural leadership, integrity, loyalty, and a good sense of humor are all factors in who we hire. Brewer tasks involve physical, mechanical, innovative, and problem-solving work so these skills are highly preferred.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operating brewhouse and producing batches from start to finish
- Following recipes and brewing process to achieve desired and consistent targets throughout batches
- Yeast handling and management
- Cellaring duties including fermentation management
- CIP (clean-in-place) of brewing and fermentation tanks, and other equipment
- Logging of all brewing related notes from brew day through fermentation, finishing, and packaging
- Following SOP (standard operating procedure) in each phase of brewing, fermentation, and packaging
- Maintaining clean brewing practices in the brewhouse and cellar
- Executing preventative maintenance on all brewhouse and cellar equipment
- Monitoring raw material inventory
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION
Four-year college degree in natural sciences (e.g., microbiology, biochemistry, food science, engineering, etc.) preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years-experience in a commercial production industry, brewery or high-volume brew pub required.
An understanding of quality assurance (QA) methods and techniques, laboratory operations, and basic knowledge of chemistry and biology preferred.
Prior packaging, bottling, and racking experience preferred.
Mechanical experience and aptitude preferred.
Forklift operation or certification preferred.

Packaging Lead
A Packaging Lead is responsible for leading and participating in all aspects of packaging processes, as well as with administrative and organizational duties for this department. This employee must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The candidate must be someone who leads by example in following procedure and policy, is proactive, and helps to maintain the highest standards of employee performance in the packaging department. The candidate needs to be ready to be flexible in their schedule and be available to work long hours if needed to get projects done and meet production schedules. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public. Responsibilities
• Successfully operate all equipment used for packaging beer at FBB
• Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all operations
• Preserve the Funky Buddha quality standards
• Perform CIP on all filling equipment using automated and manual systems
• Perform or assist with preventative maintenance (PM) on all packaging equipment according to PM schedule
• Troubleshoot and assist with the repair of all equipment related to packaging operations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and company guidelines
• Ability to follow-instructions and meet business needs based on daily goal changes when necessary
• Must be able to complete most tasks with minimal supervision
• Be able to assist management in ensuring all team breaks and lunches are taken within established company guidelines
• Communicate to management updates and changes as appropriate
• Log and send daily production reports
• Perform or supervise all training for new Packaging Associates

Minimum Qualifications

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Conduct aseptic and environmental sampling throughout the brewery
- Prepare microbiological media, sterile plating and microscopic analysis of microbial growth
- Conduct PCR testing, analysis and reporting of results

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Packaging Operator I is responsible for executing all production activity in the packaging area including operation of an automated keg washer/filler, operation of automated equipment related to bottle filling, necessary preparations for bottling, work-in-process product testing, CIP of all related equipment, and cleaning and housekeeping of all areas of the facility. The Packaging Associate must be a hard-working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry.

- Operating automated keg cleaning and filling equipment

Packaging Manager
Packaging Manager is responsible for managing and participating in all aspects of packaging processes, as well as with administrative and organizational duties for this department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting up, operating, and maintaining canning lines and other filling/bottling equipment. A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures are essential for this role. Process flow optimization, team management and planning are necessary skills. The candidate must be someone who leads by example in following procedure and policy, is proactive, and helps to maintain the highest standards of employee performance in the packaging department. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public. Responsibilities
- Management and leadership of packaging team
- Successful operation of all equipment used for packaging at Funky Buddha to meet production forecasts and demand
- Foster a collaborative environment while setting clear priorities and managing time effectively in response to company demands
- Configure and calibrate machinery to ensure efficient and accurate operation, minimizing loss
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Preserve and enhance Funky Buddha’s quality standards, including seem checks, carbonation, dissolved oxygen, fill heights, etc.
- Overseen and assist with Clean-in-Place (CIP) on all filling equipment using automated and manual systems
- Manage and prioritize projects, preventative maintenance, and daily equipment upkeep
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and company guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, maintenance activities, and repairs
- Prepare reports on team and equipment performance, downtime, and any issues encountered during production
- Work with supporting functions such as Safety, Quality, Maintenance, and Brewing to resolve production-related issues
- Identify and implement cost-improvement opportunities through material suppliers, manufacturing, and packaging partners
- Oversee, supervise and/or perform training for new Packaging Associates
- Forklift operation
- Ordering packaging materials and monitoring, recording and maintaining packaging materials inventory
- Must always be a champion for following the rules and policies of the brewery, and must encourage this to others, both by example and vigilance

Qualifications
- Previous leadership role in high-speed manufacturing business, directly responsible for packaging line performance to include production, quality and safety
- Strong people management skills and leadership experience with a proven track record of helping elevate a team
- Technical knowledge and understanding of high-speed packaging equipment with strong mechanical aptitude; understanding of plumbing, electrical and other relevant trade skills
- Flexibility with schedule as demand may from time-to-time dictate additional or different hours
- The ability to work independently as well as with others, with proven experience in delivery against critical KPIs
- Understanding of ERP systems, ability to process data in them
- Solid financial aptitude and experience managing a budget.

Maintenance

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot heating and cooling systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

– Strong knowledge of HVACR systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.

The Hospitality Merchandiser works in the merchandise sales area of our tap room and acts as the first and last point of contact for our guests. The Hospitality Merchandiser greets and works closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions, being able to promptly resolve guest complaints and ensure maximum guest satisfaction. The Street Team is made up of dependable, part-time on-call employees who have a strong passion for craft beer and a belief in our brand. Street Teamers are tasked with helping to set-up, execute and break down beer samplings, activations, and uphold our retail standards at on and off premise accounts through surveying and merchandising. The ideal candidate will possess an outgoing, charismatic personality with a deep desire to share the love that is craft beer. Knowledge of craft beer styles, history, and brewing techniques are a plus – but a yearning to continue learning about brewing and the beer business is required.

Company Summary
Funky Buddha started from humble beginnings at a small brewpub in Boca Raton, built off of passionate people and sketchy Craigslist ads. We were tired of standard beer offerings. So, we took matters into our own brewhouse, whipping up unconventional-yet-exceptional ales, and pushing the boundaries of social norms. Position Summary
As Sales Director for Funky Buddha Brewery, the candidate will directly be responsible for achieving budgeted financial, volume, distributor execution, and sales team results in the sales region. To achieve this task, our Sales will need to employ effective business management, distributor collaboration, and people development. This is broken down as follows:
Duties and Responsibilities
Distributor/Market Management
- Manage home-market wholesaler Gold Coast Beverage along with Southern Eagle, Lewis Bear, Daytona Beverage, and Bernie Little markets
- Drive sales performance by managing sales, retail execution, operations and key relationships at assigned wholesalers
- Conduct meetings/calls with distributor brand managers and key stakeholders at established cadence to align on priorities, identify opportunities, and collaborate on execution plans
- Develop annual business plans and goals for assigned wholesalers in collaboration with FB GM and Sales Director
- Review distributor POs to ensure adequate inventory levels
- Work with wholesalers on inventory forecasts for feature activity and incentive/key volume driving periods
- Develop and propose wholesaler incentives meeting submission deadlines to achieve volume/distribution goals
- Ensure distributors order necessary POS materials to support initiatives
- Use VIP/iDig reporting tool to review wholesale business and identify opportunities
- Track execution of mandated chain distribution addressing gaps with distributors
- Gain alignment from distributor leadership on key initiatives and present plans to key stakeholder and sales teams
- Complete and submit new item forms to wholesalers and ensure item setup
- Collect seasonal/limited release preorders from wholesalers
- Submit price promotions and gain alignment from wholesalers
- Build strong relationships with distributor partners and key stakeholders
Sales Team Management
- Manage and lead team of FB Field Market Managers
- Work with team in the field monthly
- Review weekly recaps from direct reports and provide feedback
- Direct the sales team on key initiatives like off premise ad features, distribution focus periods, activation/sampling opportunities
- Review event opportunities with marketing and sales team and ensure execution
Chain/Key Account Management
- Manage FB business at small list of off and on premise key accounts including Total Wine, ABC, Tap 42, Sloppy Joes, Hard Rock Hotel, Ford’s Garage
- Submit seasonal/innovation information and request preorders from Total Wine and ABC
- Identify opportunities at key accounts like features, promotions, distribution, displays, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

The Banquet Server performs food and drink serving duties at dinners and special events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly and efficient manner. Banquet Servers also assist with set-up and break down of event requirements.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set up banquet room as requested by the BEO to include glassware, service ware, linen, buffets
- Attend pre-shift meetings in order to learn function particulars, including guest expectations
- Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner
- Serve the beverage and food in the appropriate order and in tune with the expectation of the BEO so as to ensure consistency throughout the banquet
- Quickly remove dishes as guests finish each meal at the end of each meal or function
- Abide by all corporate act, laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Replenish beverages when necessary, and check with guests to make sure they are satisfied
- After the banquet, reset banquet room in accordance with the specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for other functions
- Knows and adheres to health and sanitation guidelines and follows all safety policies
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety:
- Safety goggles when walking through the Production area
Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. Funky Buddha Brewery provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly to your Manager.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Possess a valid State of Florida approved server training certification and/or be willing to successfully complete training provided by Funky Buddha Brewery.
- Strong knowledge of banquet operations and service procedures.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION
High School diploma preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Prior banquet serving experience required. Craft beer experience preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
ServSafe certificate required. Must be able to earn Cicerone Level 1 certification within first year of employment.
GROOMING
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
OTHER
Additional language ability preferred.
